I was very keen to attend this as it was along the same lines as what us close to my heart. Kinship Care.
I introduced myself to one lady that I was standing for parliament and Margaret was Manager of Grandparents Aprt UK and our speciality if elected was grandparents as kinship carers and I thought if I gave out my leaflets we could have been a lot closer to being elected and closer to getting grandparents more involved in kinship care. I was refused. This made me wonder if they were serious in supporting kinship care at all or a social club set up by government funding to con the public into thinking they were doing something.. I would have used every means possible to bring grandparents/grandchildren closer.
